The owner Tessa told us that they were one of the first dive centers in the Maldives and because of that they were able to choose such an incredible location for diving.
In recent years they have been awarded several prizes for the best dive center in the world, and we agree, the vibe is so good that it is contagious.

organization of the center
Weekly dive listings are available on large whiteboards, organized by day and time.
The rental equipment (jacket, regulators, wetsuits, etc.) is constantly renewed and checked. We emphasize the good condition and excellent care of the material.
Free Nitrox for those who are certified. If not, the option of obtaining SSI or PADI Nitrox certification is offered.
At the end of each dive, the center's staff is in charge of rinsing and storing the equipment, a detail highly valued by divers who want to enjoy the rest of the day without worries, like us!
It has two or three daily departures (depending on demand), plus the possibility of night dives and half or full day excursions to other nearby atolls such as North Ari.

Ample space to comfortably mount the equipment. However, the boat staff is very attentive and assists you in the assembly of bottles, and performs the embarkation and disembarkation of the material, you do not have to worry about anything.
You will also make short trips: most of the local dive spots are within a 5-15 minute sailing distance.
Best dive site near Kuramathi and Rasdhoo
Shark Point (Madivaru Reef)
Madivaru is one of the most iconic dive sites in Rasdhoo Atoll, only about eight minutes by boat from Kuramathi.
Renowned for its impressive marine diversity, in its waters you can see reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleon rays and we have even read on the internet that you can see hammerhead sharks at dawn. But we don't know if this is a legend or if it really happens. We tell you more details of our dive here below...
Our experience
We dived into this underwater paradise and were fascinated to contemplate the current that attracted schools of fish everywhere. Visibility exceeded 25 meters, which allowed us to photograph turtles and sharks patrolling Madivaru Corner.
During our dive, we saw eagle rays flying gracefully over the reef, and we were surprised to find pregnant gray sharks very early in the dive.
The reef was teeming with hawksbill turtles and vibrant coral life, with a multitude of smaller fish such as butterflyfish, clownfish and surgeonfish providing an explosion of color.
Once in the deepest area (about 30 meters), we observed from the cliff overlooking a channel a parade of countless sharks, fish and a giant Napoleon wrasse.
A real blast!

Anecdotes that make a difference
our divemasters Ilaria and Guillem (Will)
Our divemasters demonstrated tremendous passion and professionalism:
- Training and patience: before each dive, they did a thorough safety review and reminded us of the basic signals, maximum depth and current considerations.
- Proximity: at all times, they gave us confidence to enjoy each dive, explaining the marine fauna that we could find.
- Unforgettable moments: We were able to see gray sharks of considerable size, turtles, rays, a large Napoleon wrasse and an incredible variety of colorful fish. On one of the trips, we even came across 7 or 8 eagle rays flying in the blue, it was spectacular!

To top it off, the facilities are in a resort that we loved and the tranquility of diving for the first time near a hyperbaric chamber nearby.
The diving experience in Kuramathi is unforgettable also thanks to the professionalism of instructors like Ilaria and Guillem, of the incredibly nice Tessa (owner of the center who even accompanied us on the dive in Madivaru), the truth the whole team of Rasdhoo Divers was charming.
