The nearest airport to Hampi is Vidyanagar Airport, which is only 30 km away (a 50-minute drive).
Another option is Hubli airport, located 180 km (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes by car) from Evolve Back Hampi or fly to Bangalore airport, which is 368 km (about 5.5 hours by car) from Evolve Back Hampi.
When to visit
The best time to visit Hampi is between October and February, when the weather is cooler and more pleasant, ideal for exploring the ruins and temples. During the summer months, March to May the heat is more intense. Note that June to September is monsoon season and it may rain.

Our room
On our visit we stayed in a Nilaya suite. Everything in our suite reflected an atmosphere of elegance and good taste.
The suite is spectacular, and the indoor pool with jets was a true haven of relaxation. And if we preferred outdoors we had a private terrace with lawn ideal for sunbathing in total privacy.
We had direct access to the communal pool, which was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by manicured landscaping and full of charm.
Our experience in the Nilaya suite was unforgettable. We were amazed by the space, privacy and luxurious details that made every moment feel special.

The activity of visiting the temples of Hampi offered by Evolve Back is a very enriching experience for us, it was the perfect way to discover the cultural and spiritual richness of Hampi.
The tour begins with a trip in a luxurious 4×4 vehicle, which guarantees a comfortable ride through the historic landscape of the region.
During the visit, we had a private guide named Santosh who has been with Evolve Back Hampi for more than 10 years. The guide gives a detailed account of the history and curiosities of the temples of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He also shares fascinating stories about the ancient Vijayanagara civilization, its monuments, and the symbology of each temple, providing an in-depth, jaw-dropping insight.
This tour allows visitors to explore up close the imposing temples and ruins of Hampi, from the famous Vittala Temple with its stone chariot (highly recommended), to the Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest.

Our experience at Evolve Back, Hampi was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warm hospitality that characterizes the hotel. The property is surrounded by the majestic natural beauty of Hampi, with breathtaking views that transport you to a past full of Indian history and mysticism.
The Nilaya suite we stayed in was spacious and elegantly decorated, with all modern conveniences. We enjoyed the private pool and terrace, especially at sunset.
The hotel's restaurants, Tuluva and Bukka, offered us an authentic culinary journey, with local as well as global dishes with local flavors. Each meal was a delight, prepared with fresh ingredients and impeccably presented. We were also able to meet the chef and have pleasant conversations with him.
One of the most memorable experiences was the dinner in an elevated dining room that allowed us to enjoy a romantic dinner with panoramic views of Hampi's nature. The serene setting with candlelight and the personalized attention of the staff made every moment special.
The experiences provided by the hotel exceeded all our expectations and lived up to this 5 star hotel: The Spa is a peaceful space where you can relax and let yourself go with traditional Indian massage techniques, we also did the Nature tour in the vicinity of the hotel, where we could see the local flora and fauna. And what we liked the most: the guided visit to the temples of Hampi, the expert guide and the luxurious 4×4 with which we went made it without doubt the highlight of the activities.
And special mention to the staff of Evolve Back Hampi, probably the best hotel in India for the human quality of its staff: From Vipin (General Manager of the hotel), Bablu, Aneesh and Ranuka who made our stay something magical and unforgettable being attentive to the smallest detail.
