How to get to Kuramathi Maldives
The most economical option is via speedboat. From Male airport the Kuramathi boat staff will be waiting for you at the airport where they will pick up your equipment and guide you to the speedboat, which takes approximately 90 minutes.
Another option is to go by seaplane, from Male airport you can take a free shuttle that will take you to the seaplane terminal from where you will depart to the island of Kuramathi. It is the fastest option, between 20-25 minutes.
When to visit
The best season to visit Kuramathi is from November to April, temperatures range from 28ºC to 32ºC, the best time for water activities as the waters are crystal clear and calm.
We went in September and even though it was monsoon season (May - October) we were very lucky, as the weather was good, the diving was amazing and we had no rain. Besides, it was low season and the prices were cheaper.

Deluxe Water Villa
Located in the middle of the turquoise waters of Kuramathi Island. This room has a king-size bed, a bathroom with shower and separate bathtub, kitchen and small cellar. On the terrace you have an area to relax in the sun on the sun loungers, a shower and stairs leading directly to the sea.
Pool Villa
Located right on the edge of the beach, as you enter the room there is a private patio leading to the bedroom, as you enter you see the King-size bed, the dressing room, a freestanding bathtub and unlike the Deluxe Water Villa the bedroom overlooks a private 18m2 infinity pool.
Water Villa with Pool
Located next to the Deluxe Water Villa, in the turquoise waters of the island of Kuramathi, unlike the Deluxe water villa this suite has an infinity pool of 18m2 as well as more space to make your experience more special and luxurious.
Honeymoon Pool Villa
Spacious luxury villa designed for couples. This room is designed with all the amenities for you to enjoy a unique experience, it has a king size bed, dressing room, separate living room, outdoor bathtub in front of an infinity pool and a chill out area to relax.
Our room
During our visit we stayed in the Deluxe Water Villa.
The room was simply spectacular. The incredibly comfortable bed overlooking the turquoise waters of the Maldivian sea, transmitted an incredible calm, peace and privacy.
The bathroom has all the luxury of detail to highlight the bathtub, that when you get out of it you feel rejuvenated. The terrace is very nice, it allows you to relax in the sun and jump into the ocean when you feel like it.
The room exceeded our expectationsIt allowed us to sleep one day with all the windows open, hearing the sea and seeing the stars, and it was a totally unforgettable experience.
We highlight the privacy, comfort and above all the daily attention of the staff to meet our needs (thank you very much Malsha!).

Kuramathi Diving
The hotel has a diving center, aimed at both beginners and experienced divers. We have been diving for many years and we had never come across such an incredible dive center, the treatment by everyone was charming, the riding was new, the instructors not only explained everything about marine life but also helped you to live the experience with calm and fun. We were able to see manta rays, sharks and all kinds of amazing fish.
Spa
The Spa is an essential experience of luxury, relaxation and wellness in your stay at Kuramthi that you cannot miss. It has 13 treatment rooms, including for couples and a private herbal bath, as well as wellness areas with sauna, rain showers and jacuzzi. This paradise set around greenery, overlooking the sea makes this center a place of incredible peace and relaxation.
Water Sports Center
Experience an adrenaline-filled adventure on Kuramathi's turquoise lagoon with water sports for everyone, from catamaran cruises to thrilling wakeboarding sessions. Enjoy activities such as windsurfing, kayaking and water skiing, as well as lessons to get you started in sports such as dinghy sailing and catamaran sailing.
We tried stand up paddle boarding and it was a super nice experience to paddle board on such a crystal clear and blue water!

It has 3 buffet restaurants located throughout the island and assigned according to the category of the villa you are staying in(Haruge, Malaafaiy and Farivalhu). These offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with a wide variety of international options. We had breakfast every day at Malaafaiy and dinner whenever we did not have reservations at a la carte restaurants. Undoubtedly, one of the most delicious buffets I have tried, great variety to choose from, good quality and of the three options it is the most economical . It is important to check the buffet schedules, as they are not open 24 hours a day.

We dined at two restaurants La Belle Vie, French haute cuisine (just opened!) and Island Barbecue, an outdoor barbecue with fresh meats and seafood that we found to be an experience from another planet. We also ate at The Palm, super nice food with Italian touches.
It was an incredible experience and truly does not disappoint. they are without a doubt one of the most exceptional restaurants we have ever tried. Highly recommended as it allows you to live a more special dining experience and taste unforgettable flavors, highly recommended. Personally our favorite was Island Barbecue.

Full Board - Full board
Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main buffets (Haruge, Malaafaiy or Farivalhu).

This is the most basic and flexible option, ideal if you prefer to pay for drinks or additional experiences as you need them.
Basic All Inclusive - All Inclusive Standard
Includes all buffet meals.
Selected beverages (water, soft drinks, beers, wines and some alcoholic beverages) in bars and restaurants.
Snacks and appetizers in selected bars during the day.
Activities such as snorkeling, use of kayaks and a free excursion.
This is the recommended option for those who want to enjoy themselves without worrying about additional costs for drinks and some activities.

Our Experience at Kuramthi Maldives Hotel

An incleible paradise of turquoise waters
Our experience in Kuramathi Maldives was simply amazing, from the moment we arrived at the airport, hotel staff was waiting for us to accompany us and guide us on our adventure. Upon arrival at the hotel we were warmly welcomed with drinks, Malsha explained our itinerary for the next 3 days, then took us on a boogie ride to show us around the facilities and took us to our water villa where our bags were waiting for us.
The room is stunning, it has all the details to make your stay a relaxing, magical and peaceful place. The bed is I believe, the most comfortable I have ever slept in, facing the incredible views of the turquoise waters of the Maldives. The bathtub in the middle of the bathroom overlooking the sea allows you to end your day with the most relaxing end, with a bubble bath after a day of adventures in the Maldives, plus the TV has Bluetooth connection so you can put the music you want and give a very special atmosphere to your villa.
We as diving lovers, we dove two dives with the hotel's dive center, kuramathi dives, highly recommended if you have the opportunity, the water is very nice there is very good visibility and the variety of marine animals in this area is an experience not to be missed. For those less fond of diving, we recommend trying water sports, we did paddle surfing and snorkeling, there are different areas from which you can snorkel, from any reception they can tell you where the best spots are.
In the evening you can not miss the Maldivian sunset, simply magical, we recommend watching the sunset from two points, from the bar with infinity pool with a cocktail or from sunset point on the beach.
We knew that Maldives was a paradise of turquoise waters, but we never imagined how relaxing, the exquisite attention of the staff (thank you very much Malsha ;)!), the wide variety of activities you can do, which suit everyone from diving and kayaking to yoga classes, spa and read a book in the relaxing bathtub of the hotel. Something thatsurprised us was the food, the great variety of restaurants there are and especially the quality of these, we tried two la belle vie and Island Barbecue and not only was it a dining experience where they cooked in front of you and explained the food but each dish was an incredible explosion of flavor.
Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations, it is the perfect place to disconnect and relax, without a doubt a true paradise to which we will return.
